School Uniform
School Uniform
The school firmly believes that the wearing of school uniform gives the children of our school a sense of identity, a sense of belonging and a sense of the importance we place in the community of St John’s Green Primary School.
All our school uniform is available on-line via our provider www.smartypantsschoolwear.com
The school uniform requirements for the children of our school are as follows:-
- Grey or black trousers or skirt.
- Grey or black shorts (these must not be sports/cycling shorts).
- White collared shirt or white polo shirt
- Navy fleece, sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan
- Sensible flat black shoes or black trainers. Navy, brown or black closed-toed sandals.
- Blue pique summer dress.
- Grey pinafore.
Swimming Kit
Swimming Trunks (NOT Bermuda type shorts/baggy shorts) these are statutory swimming lessons, not a day at the beach/leisure activity.
One piece swimming costume.
Children with long hair will need to wear a swimming hat.
Jewellery
Jewellery should be kept to a minimum and parents are urged to consider the implications of wearing valuable items to school. Earrings are limited to the wearing of a small stud.
Hoops and dangly earrings must not be worn – this includes on non-uniform days.
Please note that earrings MUST be removed by the child themselves or by parents prior to coming to school when your child has PE.
We recognise that some pupils with SEND may require some flexibility regarding uniform as a reasonable adjustment to enable access to the school environment. Parents may also have other reasons they wish their child to wear something alternative. In such cases we welcome an open dialogue and request you contact the office.
To help your child follow this policy, please ensure they have the correct uniform and PE kit.
